I believe that you inherently know how to help yourself but I also understand that it can be hard to access that healing part within.
Your wish to explore and make sense of your problems is of paramount importance and will form the basis of our work together.
My therapeutic approach will subtly integrate Person-Centred and Cognitive Behavioural, Therapy into our sessions together. Depending on your individual needs I will also use other approaches.
We will pay attention to your thinking processes and see how they affect your well being. I will introduce new perspectives and insights and make suggestions where appropriate.
I will provide a safe and confidential atmosphere in which we can develop a good counselling relationship. As your counsellor I will accept you as you are and I undertake to be attentive, consistently supportive, honest and respectful.
I will help you to understand yourself better and achieve greater clarity regarding your issues. You can then decide how best to move on in the future.
